Coco's Classes - and How to Earn Free Ones!

REFER 3 GET A 4-CLASS CARD FREE!

Now that we've been in our new studio space for a month-and-a-half, and we love it, I'm starting a new program so that more people can join our fun/work their bodies/focus their brains/nourish their souls -- and so that current students can continue to take even more classes.

Anyone who gets 3 new people to buy a 4-class card each will receive their next 4-class card free! That's $56 worth of classes (and more friends for everyone).

I know it can be intimidating for a newbie to sign up for 4 classes up front without trying a single class. So... anyone who gets 2 new people to take a single class will receive a single class free.

And you don't have to bring in your new people all on the same day -- I'll keep track of how many you have brought in, and when you've reached your 2 or 3, bingo! Also, you can keep bringing more and more people, and keep earning more and more free classes.

Woohoo, might as well make the ultimate offer: anyone who gets 5 new people to buy an 8-class card each will receive an 8-class card of their own free! Yes, if you bring in 5 people who start with a single class each, and then each one of them buys a 4-class card, AND THEN eventually each one of them buys an 8-class card -- wow, you will receive a single class, a 4-class card, AND an 8-class card! That's a lot of flamenco. And you know you want it. You know you need it. So round 'em up, drag 'em in. Beg, bribe, wash their dishes (you know who you are). Let's get everyone into class.

Flamenco classes dance no.1
The fine print: 1 single free class per 2 referrals. 1 4-class card per 3 referrals. 1 8-class card per 5 referrals. To earn additional free class cards, you must refer 2, 3, or 5 more new referrals. 4-class cards expire 2 months after purchase (or after you earn one). 8-class cards expire 3 months after purchase (or after you earn one). All class cards, including free class cards, are non-transferrable. Any size class card may be purchased as a gift.

AND ANNOUNCING:

THE NEW FRIDAY NIGHT SEVILLANAS WITH FAN AND HAT TECHNIQUE CLASS --

AND, YES, YOU CAN EARN FREE SEVILLANAS CLASS CARDS!

Sevillanas first copla fan hat class joa brown hi res
For the Sevillanas class (which will continue through at least December with each month focusing on the next part of the 4-part dance), it will not be possible to purchase a single class. Because we are learning specific techniques and a specific choreography, students must buy a whole month at a time. There will be no make-ups and no refunds for missed classes, but I would be very happy to apply the dollar amount for missed classes towards private and semi-private classes to catch up with the material.

AND if you get 3 people to buy a month of Sevillanas classes, you get that month free! So... you could recruit a dance partner plus another couple, and, BOOM, those classes are free for you! Or... you could recruit 3 of your best buds that you always go out with on Friday nights anyway, and, BOOM, those classes are free for you! And who knows what people the 4 of you might meet in class... dancing... on a Friday night...

If you're thinking ahead and you get 5 people to buy 2 months' worth of Sevillanas classes (which will cost $104 total, just like an 8-class card), WOW, those two months of classes are free for you! That could be your dance partner plus two other couples, maybe a wedding party, or 5 of your friends. And you can always go out around Koreatown afterwards...

A note about fans: If you've never used a fan before, start out with a cheap one. Seriously. They tend to break easily when you are first learning and practicing, so the ones from Chinatown that cost a few dollars are perfect. The mechanism of those fans is just the same as the ones from Spain. You may even want to get a few and have a stash. The size -- small or large -- is up to you for now.

Hats: Any hat that makes you feel awesome is the perfect hat for now, as long as it has a brim.

Gender-bending: YES, guys can learn fan technique, and ladies can learn hat technique! I learned some of my best fan technique from the greatest male flamenco and classical Spanish dancers on the planet. And there are plenty of dances that showcase the ladies in their hats. So feel free to bring both!
